Appeals court backs Trump in Russian collusion case

President Donald Trump scored a significant legal victory Wednesday, May 28, when a Florida appeals court rejected the Pulitzer Prize Board’s attempt to pause his defamation lawsuit against the organization. The Fourth District Court of Appeal denied the board’s motion to temporarily halt proceedings until Trump completes his current presidential term.

The lawsuit, filed in December 2022, centers on Trump’s challenge to the 2018 Pulitzer Prizes awarded to The New York Times and The Washington Post for their reporting on alleged connections between his 2016 campaign and Russia. Trump argues the coverage was false and defamatory, demanding the board revoke the awards.

 The Russian Collusion Hoax was one of the biggest political frauds in US history.  There is some evidence that it was a desperate product of the Hillary Clinton campaign against Trump.  It was a claim that was completely without merit.  That the two largest newspapers in the US were given prizes for those stories, at the very least, should be an embarrassment for publishing the false narrative.  There should be no question that the assertions were false and defamatory.  I would think that the Pulitzer committee should be embarrassed about giving awards for a false narrative.

Drones appear to be replacing jets for many operations.  The Russia-Ukraine war is an example of that.  Drones are often hard to detect and can be used for intelligence operations as well as for attacking enemy targets.  It would not surprise me to see drones engaging other drones in combat.  They also cost much less than manned fighters.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
