Biden's expensive targeting of Musk

 Red State:

...

According to Mike Benz, Executive Director of Foundation for Freedom Online, it was discovered that the Biden Administration paid Reuters over $300 million to investigate and attack Elon Musk's businesses, likely as a way to damage his reputation and make him less of a threat to the Democrat Party. Benz posted the relevant details in a post on X, but you can see it for yourself here.
As Benz points out, Reuters even won a Pulitzer for its investigations into Musk's companies.

The implications here are damning, not just for the Democrats, but for the media as well. Moreover, it's only more fuel for the fire that will be the Department of Government Efficiency, which is headed, in part, by Musk himself.

To be clear, this is the weaponizations that Democrats said Trump would bring about if he were elected. The Biden Administration has made little to no effort to hide its willingness to attack people who disagree with the left's agenda, whether they be parents pushing back against CRT or the transgender agenda or January 6 protesters.
...

I suspect that Musk could sue both Biden and Reuters for attempted defamation.  He could probably throw in the Pulitzer committee too.  $300 million is not a small amount to attack someone with.  Musk has several businesses and most of them are successful.  The discovery in a case brought by Musk could be pretty interesting.
