'Super sanctuary' nonsense in San Diego

 Newsmax:

San Diego County Superviser Jim Desmond told Newsmax on Friday that the county’s new “super” sanctuary policy — that he voted against — is “ludicrous” because “it’s going to make our community and our country less safe.”

Following a 3-1 Board of Supervisers vote, law enforcement in San Diego County, California, is no longer allowed to contact federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) authorities without a warrant, even when dealing with illegal immigrants who have been accused of violent crimes.

“If we're not deporting these people that have committed these heinous crimes and mostly against their own people, other immigrants, that if we don't deport them, they're going to be allowed back into our communities and onto our streets,” Desmond told “Wake Up America.”

“You know, we all want legal immigration, but if people come here illegally and then commit felonies and beyond, and we're talking about kidnapping, we're talking about rape, we're talking about using a gun in a violent crime. These are people that nobody wants on the streets and so I think this is going to make us less safe and could put more strain on our law enforcement if we can't deport these heinous criminals, that are here illegally in the first place, back to where they came from,” he added.

When asked why anybody would support allowing violent criminals to remain in their communities, Desmond said that “nobody does,” adding “that’s why this is so ridiculous.”

Unfortunately, California has a lot of immigration scofflaws that are either illegal immigrants or people who want to ignore US immigration laws.  There should be consequences for both.  Meanwhile, countries from around the world are emptying their prisons of murderers and thieves and sending them across the open borders of the US.  Biden should have been removed from office for this irresponsible policy as well as the Democrats who supported it.
