The little-noticed surge across the U.S.-Mexico border: It’s Americans heading southThis is also happening in the Caribbean including islands that are part of the Central American countries where people have been migrating to the US. If you watch HGTV they have shows on Americans looking for homes in Mexico and in the Caribbean. It puts the lie to the suggestion that the migration is caused by "climate change." Those headed south tend to be escaping harsh winters and looking for affordable luxury.
As the Mexican population in the United States shrinks, Americans are increasingly migrating to Mexico where they’re pouring money into local economies, renovating historic homes and changing the dynamics of Mexican classrooms.
