Iran continues its hostilities toward US that it started in 1979

Faced with relentless American pressure, Iran starts to hit backIran has been at war with the US ever since the radical Islamist took over the country. Its favored style of warfare is to use proxies for its dirty work. It tries to fight using clandestine attacks by groups like Hezballah and the Houthis. It has also used Shia militias in Iraq. But there is no doubt it has been at war with the US despite the attempts of Obama and Kerry to mask that effort and pander to the mullahs. What it is doing now is nothing new. What is new is the Trump administration is no longer ignoring the threats posed by Iran and is putting "maximum pressure" on the regime.
Tehran is seeking to exact a cost for U.S. sanctions that have battered its economy, but it wants to avoid an all-out war.
