Cruz to get the backing of Christian groups

Washington Post:
Christian conservatives coalesce around Cruz

The GOP presidential hopeful won the backing of a key evangelical coalition after a secret meeting in which top national activists agreed to roll out endorsements, many timed for maximum impact between now and March 1.
He appears to be the obvious choice for this group and his campaign appears to be counting on increased turnout from conservative Christians to win the nomination and the election.  It makes it an important election for both.  Cruz believes there are enough conservative Christians who did not vote in recent elections to turn back the Dems this time.  If he is right it would fundamentally change the dynamic of the election.
