Liberal media finding it harder to kill conservative candidates campaigns
Washington Post:
It would be a mistake to say that Fox News was trying to shield his position on the bill, because its talent went to great links to cross examine Cruz on the issue and it took them a while to comprehend that by offering the amendment to the bill he was not supporting legalization. Some conservatives even suggested that Cruz stop giving interviews on Fox. I think he finally had a breakthrough on the issue under a tough cross examination by Greta.

It was clear to me that from the beginning Cruz opposed the Gang of Eight bill and his proposed amendment was a tactical measure to expose some of the dishonesty in the sales job for the bill.
He has gained ground with voters who rely on sources like Fox News and Drudge Report — and used them to soothe doubts about his immigration spat with Marco Rubio.
