Immigrant advocates have no deterrent policy

Ramos is not going to get his policy preference through Congress without demonstrating some form of deterrence to future illegal immigration. As long as his sole focus is on those who already illegal got here his policy preferences would only make the problem worse. Without consequences for coming here illegally there will be no deterrence. Mr. Ramos, the influential Univision and Fusion anchor, has begun criticizing Republicans over their immigration stance, posing a challenge to their 2016 hopes.
