Obama moves to protect more of Alaska refuge


The move to protect 1.4 million acres of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge will spark a battle with the Senate energy committee chairman, Lisa Murkowski, and other Alaska Republicans.
This is a really bad move for Alaska and for US national security.  Putting this area off limits to oil and gas development is an act of spite by a President who warm planet is bad for Alaska.  It is a terrible decision.

Alaskans in Congress were not pleased with the designation.
