The Sexism Club
Peggy Noonan looks at strong women who overcame odds to become national leaders in other countries without ever complaining publicly of a sexist bias. She then moves on to Hillary Clinton who has. I think she is being somewhat unfair to Hillary. What Hillary is doing may sound like a whine, but what she is really doing is wielding sexism as a club to rally her feminist base. It is just another political tool for her to help her achieve her objective. It is one the other women did not have and did not need, but I am not sure the would not have used it, if it had been available.
It is sometimes said by the feminist that there opponents fear strong women. Obviously, people like Margaret Thatcher disprove that point. I think Clinton knows it too, but she is not above appealing to the emotions of women who believe otherwise.
