Considering that national security is the slender reed by which he is holding on to conservative votes, McCain is acting like he is taking that support for granted. The Democrat position on the Telecoms is indefensible on the merits and it puts terrorist privacy rights ahead of our national security. It is a position that no one who wants to prevent another attack should take. McCain needs to distance himself from this non sense without delay.
