Romney "wins" Michigan primary

Fox News has just projected Mitt Romney as the winner of the Michigan primary. Romney's campaigned focused on reviving the Michigan economy and stimulating the auto business. The early projections show Romney with 37 percent and McCain is projected to have 31 percent of the vote. Huckabee has about 17 percent of the vote and everyone else is in single digits.

While Romney can claim "wins" in two states with his carrying of the Wyoming caucuses, no one has really won two in a row so far. This gives Rudy Giuliani a chance to still be in the hunt when Florida votes later this month.

AP
reports that Republicans had the biggest turnout for the primary and among Republicans Romney beat McCann by a larger margin than the overall result.
