Palestinian's collective punishment scam

Washington Post:

Saying they were waging "economic warfare" against the Gaza Strip's Hamas leaders, Israeli officials told the Supreme Court on Sunday that the military intends to start cutting electricity to the Palestinian territory and continue restricting fuel.

The statements by Israel's state attorney, outlining Defense Ministry plans, came in response to a lawsuit filed by Israeli and Palestinian rights groups.

The organizations are asking the Supreme Court to make Israel end fuel restrictions that caused power blackouts in the Gaza Strip this month. The activists argue that the restrictions constitute collective punishment of Gaza's 1.5 million people and violate international law.

Israel's restrictions on shipments into Gaza have become a central issue in the territory's relations with Israel and neighboring Egypt. Israel halted deliveries of food, fuel and other supplies into the strip for 4½ days this month, saying it was acting in response to rocket attacks from Gaza on southern Israel.

Non lethal warfare generally always involves "collective punishment." Sanctions against South Africa, for example rained on the just and the unjust. The same is true for sanctions against Iraq. It is non lethal warfare to impose a change of conduct that is not acceptable. It also tells you why the Palestinians have nothing to offer Israel in any peace agreement. The Palestinians will do nothing to impede the attacks on non combatants by those firing rockets into Israel civilian areas. No state would tolerate this conduct, but any attempts by Israel to stop result in Palestinians playing the victim card. Military reaction is called a "massacre" and economic pressure is called collective punishment.

The Palestinians are some of the most wretched people on the earth and much of it is of their own making. Their main commerce in recent years has been to send their children out to explode in mass murder at pizza restaurants and on buses. They have ruined a once strong commerce with the Israelis and even destroyed farming equipment left behind by Israelis when they left Gaza. The Palestinians are undeserving of sympathy. They voted for the leaders who have brought them to this ruin. Their religious bigotry and ethnic hatred has overwhelmed common sense and led them to their ruin.
