The post Iowa dropouts

NY Times:

Two Democratic senators from the Northeast — Christopher J. Dodd of Connecticut and Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware — became the first casualties of the Iowa caucuses on Thursday night. After both failed to get a single percentage point, they issued statements saying they would drop out of the race.

These two dropouts campaigns appeared to be driven more by their egos than by the logic of any political prospects for their race. They are both light weight Democrat Senators who are not nearly as smart as they think they are. Now they find that they are not nearly as popular as they think they should be. They can now get back to the business of screwing up the Senate.
