Obama critical of Bill Clinton comments

Barack Obama came out fighting against Bill Clinton yesterday in an attempt to stop a series of verbal attacks that threaten to derail his push for the White House.

As the battle for the Democratic nomination turned personal, the Obama campaign said the former president had lied and distorted Mr Obama’s words. He said the former president's "advocacy on behalf of his wife" was "pretty troubling".

"This has become a habit, and one of the things that we’re going to have to do is to directly confront Bill Clinton when he’s making statements that are not factually accurate," the Illinois senator said in an interview with ABC News.

In a speech in South Carolina late on Sunday, Mr Obama directly attacked his rival for the nomination, saying she was guilty of "Washington speak", and made a detailed rebuttal of Mr Clinton's "distorting" of his words.

OK, it is not really news that Bill Clinton speaks with a forked tongue. Even other Democrats have noticed he is especially competent at deceit. But I could not pass up the picture of Obama holding the baby. Click on the image for a larger view. He needs to try that look the next time Bill says something about him.
