Al Qaeda operative admits Mogudishu strategy is not working

In the Sunday NY Times report on teh intercepted al Qaeda call for help in Iraq is an admission of the failure of bin Ladens central strategy against the US.

"...The Americans are an easy target, according to the author, who nonetheless claims to be impressed by the Americans' resolve. After significant losses, he writes, 'America, however, has no intention of leaving, no matter how many wounded nor how bloody it becomes.' "

Bin Laden thought the US would be easier to topple than driving the Soviet out of Afghanistan. His own people now tell him his startegy is not working. Their only hope is that Democrats will come to power in the US and go back to their cut and run strategy.
