Schroeder says he is not alienated

Gerhard Schroeder:

"We never had a war. What we had was a difference of opinion. We've overcome that and decided not to dwell on the past but to focus on the present and the future. As far as Iraq is concerned, both of us are interested in seeing a stable and democratic Iraq....

"I believe that we have a good working relationship, and that the president and I deal with each other in an atmosphere that is very much in line with the expectations of our respective peoples. To that extent, I'm very satisfied with my visit."
