Trump's positive rating in blue state

Donald Trump currently maintains a favorable rating among voters in the deep blue state of New Jersey.

The Garden State has favored Democrats for almost four decades, having last voted in favor of a Republican in 1988. Trump is no exception, having only amassed around 41% of the vote in 2016 and 2020.

However, last year’s election proved to be his best yet in New Jersey, amassing 46% of the vote compared to Kamala Harris’ 52% – a surprisingly strong result meaning the election was actually closer in New Jersey than the swing state of Arizona.

Now, a new Emerson College poll now reveals a surge in favorability for the President – 48% of the polls respondents said they had a favorable view of Trump, compared to 46% who did not, for a net +2 favorable rating, something thought nearly impossible even weeks ago. A further 6% of voters had a neutral view of the President.

Trump is off to a good start.  I suspect that many voters regret their past support for Biden who has to be a disappointment for most voters.  Things were clearly better under Trump in his first election and there is optimism that he will do better than Biden in this go round.

Drones appear to be replacing jets for many operations.  The Russia-Ukraine war is an example of that.  Drones are often hard to detect and can be used for intelligence operations as well as for attacking enemy targets.  It would not surprise me to see drones engaging other drones in combat.  They also cost much less than manned fighters.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
