Trump to order troops to Mexican border

President-elect Trump on Monday will order the deployment of U.S. troops to the southern border, stamp out Biden-era parole policies and designate international cartels as Foreign Terrorist Organizations -- in a slew of nearly a dozen executive orders designed to drastically overhaul U.S. border and immigration policy.

Fox News obtained exclusive details of three of the expected 10 executive orders Trump will sign related to border security and immigration after he is inaugurated.

In one order, Trump will immediately direct the federal government to resume construction of the border wall, which was largely ended under the Biden administration. That order will also end Biden-era parole policies, including the use of the CBP One app to parole migrants into the U.S., and the parole processes for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans (CHNV) -- under which 30,000 nationals a month were allowed to fly in and be admitted under parole. Nearly 1.5 million migrants have been allowed in under CHNV and CBP One.

Texas has already virtually closed its border with Mexico.  Texas has also been installing its own border fence.  Trump will likely finish the job in other states.

The order will mainly impact New Mexico, Arizona, and California.  I suspect most of the recent illegals have been crossing in Arizona and California.  I suspect the New Mexico border is more difficult for the illegals because of the desert conditions.

The Trump police should lead to a more orderly immigration process.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
