California is the state with the largest exodus

Remember when Newsom ran ads in Florida encouraging Sunshine state residents to ditch freedom and move to California? Well, I guess it didn’t work out so well.

On Thursday, the U.S. Census Bureau announced that 300,000 residents left California in 2022 — the largest exodus out of any state.

“Eighteen states experienced a population decline in 2022, compared to 15 and DC the prior year. California, with a population of 39,029,342, and Illinois, with a population of 12,582,032, also had six-figure decreases in resident population,” the U.S. Census reports. “Both states’ declining populations were largely due to net domestic outmigration, totaling 343,230 and 141,656, respectively.”

Both of the big losers made the mistake of electing Democrats as governors and as majorities of their legislatures.   Florida and Texas were the biggest gainers of population and they are both run by GOP governors and legislatures.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
