Biden brings US worst year ever

All of the hope in President Joe Biden’s 21-minute inaugural address, which promised “unity, unity,” has not only evaporated in his first 11 months but left people feeling that 2021 was “one of the worst years ever,” according to the latest Rasmussen Reports survey.

In the poll previewed by Secrets, likely voters said that they not only believe the year was a bust, but that a majority feel 2022 will be bad also.

  • 74% said 2021 was a fair to poor year, with most, 48%, calling it poor.
  • Just 23% called it a good to the best year ever, with just 2% dubbing it “one of the best years."
  • 63% of Democrats agreed that it was fair to poor.
  • 50% expect 2022 to be fair to poor, and 41% believe it will be good to the best.

Kitchen table issues likely affected the assessment, especially with inflation spiking. Asked if they feel better or worse off economically, those polled said worse by a 48%-20% margin. Another 28% said their finances were about the same.

If you buy gas or groceries it was one of the most expensive years ever.  The inflation in home prices also hits homeowners who are in their old house as property taxes go up with the inflated values.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ... Bin Laden's concern about Zarqawi's remains
