I am a retired lawyer and not a doctor.  But I have yet to see a statement suggesting what the potential harm is to patients using this medication.   There seems to be a dispute by some doctors and hospitals as to the efficacy of the medication, but are the hospitals refusing the use because the government is arbitrarily blocking its use?
