Jews in US see little middle ground on Iran deal

NY Times:

Iran Deal Opens a Vitriolic Divide Among American Jews

Jewish lawmakers who support the nuclear deal with Iran have been likened to Nazi collaborators, and those who oppose it have been called traitors.
I suspect this disagreement is more about loyalty to Democrats and Obama than to Israel and the Jews who live there.  Why else would you call opponents of the deal a traitor, since the deal is unpopular in Israel too.  It has been said that liberal Jews in the US put liberalism ahead of everything else and that appears to be the case with supporters of this deal.  When the support for what looks like an irrational deal is so strong, you have to look for other reasons and they are still hard to find.
