Israel conquers water scarcity

Aided by the Sea, Israel Overcomes an Old Foe: Drought


A major national effort to desalinate Mediterranean seawater and to recycle wastewater has provided the country with enough water for all its needs.
The Israelis also developed a drip irrigation system which made the desert bloom with produce.  If California would look at their example rather than listening to Big Green they could solve their water problem.  But Big Green is turning the state in to Big Brown.
