A plan to defeat ISIL

NY Times:

Republican Rivals Skirt Specifics on Plans to Fight ISIS

The declared and likely candidates sound hawkish about fighting the Islamic State but are reluctant and even evasive when it comes to laying out detailed plans.
It is clear that what the Obama administration is doing is not working and unless his plan is to allow the two sides to bleed each other.   When you engage in a war with inadequate force, it usually last longer and is much more bloody.

Any new plan would include a much more robust air campaign than the current one.  It is ridiculous that the US would allow a victory parade in ISIL and not attack it with A-10's.  It was an opportunity to wipe out much of their force and their mechanized units that was squandered, in much the same way Obama's approach squandered a victory.
