McCain leads by 5 in Missouri, 32 in Oklahoma

McClatchy:

A poll completed for two Missouri television stations show John McCain leading in that critical swing state by 49 to 44 percent.

...

Among voters older than McCain, McCain leads by 19 points. Among voters younger than Obama, the contest is tied.

McCain holds 87 percent of Republican voters; Obama holds 83% of Democrats. Independents break 5:3 for McCain.

...

St. Louis is the only area where Obama is ahead and that is just by 13.

AP/KSWO:

...

The Oklahoma Poll found that Republican John McCain has broad support in the state to lead Obama by 32%age points, 56% to 24%. Seventy-one percent of those questioned say they are firm in their decisions.

...
The margin of McCain's lead is what is surprising in both of these polls. Missouri has been a bell weather state in previous elections.
