Response to the chip shortage

 Dallas Morning News:

Texas Instruments selects Sherman for potential $30 billion semiconductor chipmaking campus
The site has the potential to house up to four semiconductor chip manufacturing plants.

I suspect other tech companies will be expanding chip-making facilities as the shortage is impacting not only automakers but other product manufacturing.  We have gotten used to seeing slim inventories on auto dealers lots, but I noticed recently the farm tractor and other implement dealers with skinny inventories.

It should not be surprising that this is happening in Texas and not California.
