Coronavirus highlights the jerks in the media

Washington Post Editorial:
Trump is ‘nasty’ in a crisis and ‘terrible’ in his response to it
First, the media called Trump racist and xenophobic for putting immediate travel restrictions on China. Then when the rest of the world adopted the same restrictions we get a "never mind" response and they are own to criticizing him for noting the use of malaria drugs as being effective in some situations.

While the media sees Trump as "nasty", he has called the media out for being nasty in his press briefings.  I have been watching those briefings and I think those in the media are clueless as too how awful and unpatriotic they come across.

They seem predisposed to mimicking Chicom propaganda and attacking the President who is dealing with the crisis in a very professional way.  It is telling that even Democrat governors are praising his efforts and those of his team, yet the media largely ignores that and nitpicks and seeks to find something to criticize.

Trump has made a valid point that if China had been more forthcoming about the virus originally, the spread could have been greatly reduced and lives could have been saved.  The media does not seem to get this, or if they do, they do not care and would rather focus on criticism of Trump.

I think Vice President Pence has also done a good job of dealing with the crisis.

I wish the media was as good as the President and his team are.  The media is way too partisan and hostile.  They in many cases are acting like jerks at the press briefing and in response to the briefings.

The good news is that the people are rejecting the media hysteria.

The latest evidence for that is a new Morning Consult poll out today that shows a surprising jump in support for Trump's handling of the crisis. Yesterday, Matt Margolis covered similar polls from ABC and Harris.
Given the overwhelmingly negative coverage by the fake news media, complete with blatantly false stories, the fact that Trump’s approval in handling the pandemic is in positive territory is remarkable. One can only imagine what Trump’s numbers would be if Democrats weren’t politicizing the pandemic and he was getting fair coverage from the media.
Today, the morning consult poll shows 53 percent of voters approve of Trump's crisis management, while only 39 percent disapprove. significantly, there was a sizable increase in support from Democrats and independents.
