The Democrats fraud by omission at the impeachment trial

NY Post:
Turnabout is fair play — and now it’s President Trump’s turn.

Trump’s impeachment defense came out with rhetorical guns blazing Saturday – accusing the House Democrats’ impeachment managers of hiding evidence from the senators who must decide whether to kick the president out of office.

“Today we are going to confront them on the merits of their argument,” Pat Cipollone, President Trump’s White House counsel, said in the opening minutes of Trump’s defense. “They have the burden of proof and they have not come close to meeting it.”

“We intend to show you some of the evidence that they decided not to show you,” Cipollone said. “And every time you see one of these pieces of evidence, ask yourself: why didn’t I see that in the last three days? …Why didn’t they show that to the Senate?”
...
I watched much of the President's lawyer presentation this morning and it was chocked full of material failures to disclose relevant information in an attempt to fraudulently pursue an impeachment.  If Democrats were selling securities instead of a bogus case for impeachment they could be convicted of fraud.

By not disclosing material facts in their presentation the Democrats left themselves open to being seen as con artists.  The Democrat Senators will probably try to use the new information as an excuse for calling witnesses, but it is hard to see how that will do anything other than delay because the President's team showed with the limited evidence from the House hearings how misleading Schiff et.al. were.
