Schiff makes false and misleading statements to the Senate

NY Times:

In Impeachment Case, Schiff Accuses Trump of Trying ‘to Cheat’ in Election

The House impeachment managers began presenting their oral arguments against President Trump in the Senate trial, arguing that his conduct warranted his removal.
He has no evidence that Trump is trying to cheat.  In fact, the allegation is absurd and better directed at the Democrats who are trying to cover-up Biden's corruption.  It is beyond ridiculous to suggest that it is wrong to investigate what on its face looks like Bidens' profiting from the fact that Joe was VP.

Schiff also mischaracterized the Parnez text he quoted.
I know what you are thinking, Adam Schiff? The man who lied about what was in the Trump/Zelinsky phone call. He’s the congressman who lied about having evidence that President Trump colluded with the Russians, Should we now believe that the man who tried to purchase naked pictures of the President didn’t tell the truth about the Lev Parnas texts to Rudy Guiliani that dominated a few news cycles last week? Well yes according to Politico Adam Schiff purposely misled

The issue arose when Schiff (D-Calif.) sent a letter to House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) last week summarizing a trove of evidence from Lev Parnas, an indicted former associate of Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani. In one section of the letter, Schiff claims that Parnas “continued to try to arrange a meeting with President Zelensky,” citing a specific text message exchange where Parnas tells Giuliani: “trying to get us mr Z.” The remainder of the exchange — which was attached to Schiff’s letter — was redacted.
Politico got a copy of the unredacted version

But an unredacted version of the exchange shows that several days later, Parnas sent Giuliani a word document that appears to show notes from an interview with Mykola Zlochevsky, the founder of Burisma, followed by a text message to Giuliani that states: “mr Z answers my brother.” That suggests Parnas was referring to Zlochevsky not Zelensky.
...
Is Schiff just sloppy or is he being deliberately misleading?  He has a history of the latter with his bitter clinging to the Russian collusion hoax long after it was "debunked" as the saying goes.  Did the entire House impeachment team ignore the facts or are they all trying to mislead the Senate and the country?

It is easier to make the case that Schiff is trying to cheat than that Trump might.  I have argued that the entire impeachment effort is a bad-faith attempt to attack the President and Republicans who support him.  This could certainly be additional evidence of bad faith in the presentation of their argument.

Schiff also falsely claimed that Trump conditioned a meeting and aid in announcing an investigation.
