Left objects to textbooks taking realistic look at Islam

AP/NY Times:

Texas Approves Disputed History Texts for Schools

Texas’ State Board of Education has approved new history textbooks, capping months of outcry over lessons that some academics say exaggerate the influence of Moses and negatively portray Muslims.
While most see Moses has a historical prophet, the same can not be said for the founder of Islam.  Christians and Jews see him as a false prophet and there has been a tendency on the left since radical Islamist started a war with the US to glorify Islam as a religion.

Ironically the radical Islamist are usually illiterate and study only Islam's religious texts and draw on them for their vision of how the world should be structured.  That the left does not see the danger in this, but thinks a text book that exposes it is a problem tells you something about their head in the sand approach to dealing with an enemy that seeks to destroy Western Civilization.
