Oil price drop hurting Russia more than sanctions

BBC:
Oil price slide and sanctions 'cost Russia $140bn'
The oil price decline is costing the Russians $100 billion a year and the sanctions are adding another $40 billion in lost economic activity.  They may try to prop up the price by reducing production by 300,000 barrels a day.

The US should open up more of its federally controlled sites to production easily making up the difference and keeping the pressure on the petro tyrants running Russia.
