Failure as a mandate?

By issuing his sweeping order on immigration, the president has decided to view political failure as a mandate for pushing through Democratic priorities.

It is also evidence of his incompetence as a political leader that he no longer even goes through the motions of trying to reach consensus, and thinks acting in this way will help him in some way.  He is further alienating himself from the majority of voters in the US.

This will go down as one of his signature moments of failure.
