Experts see long, tough battle to contain Islamic State
Air attacks in Iraq and contemplation of similar action in Syria will do little more than temporarily curb the militants' momentum, analysts say. Says one: 'There is no short-term fix.




It will take a sustained effort over several weeks of concentrated air strikes on ISIL mechanized units and also on stopping their movement to contact which will probably mean taking out a lot of Toyota pickup trucks.
