Negotiating with a death cult?

To Talk With Hamas, U.S. Needs Help From a Testy Trio of Nations

Secretary of State John Kerry will be leaning heavily on Egypt, Turkey and Qatar — which have deep divisions over the Islamic movement — to help broker a cease-fire as quickly as possible.

I don't understand the rush to save this death cult from itself.  It is playing into the hands of their cynical strategy of getting their own people killed by using human shields while the perps hide under a hospital.  The rush to save the death cult from itself only means they will continue to use this cynical strategy..  Israel should be allowed to destroy Hamas to put an end to that groups genocidal ambitions rather than postpone to the next attempt to kill Israelis.
