Israel Says It Did Not Kill Palestinians at U.N. School


Israel and Hamas went back and forth on cease-fire proposals as Israel sought to bolster its claim that its forces were not responsible for the deaths of 16 Palestinians reportedly killed in an attack on a United Nations school.
It is possible that Hamas did it by accident, but the group is of the mentality that they would sacrifice their own in order to tar Israel.  The Islamist call these victims "involuntary" martyrs.  It was a fairly common practice by al Qaeda in Iraq.  Hamas has shown a willingness to put civilians in harms way as human shields.  At the time of the event the Israelis were defeating Hamas fighters in Gaza and they may have hoped that staging a fake atrocity would slow the Israeli attack.  A lot of the media bought the scam and used it to put pressure of Israel for a cease fire.  It was a tactic used against teh US in both Iraq and Afghanistan.  Wedding were a favorite target for such ruses.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
