Gas prices decline shortly after Obama says he will open more drilling areas

When I filled up today the cost was $3.63.9 down from $3.96.9 a week ago.  I do not think it is any coincidence that the decline follow Obama's announcement of opening up a modest area for new wells.  You can imagine what would happen to the price if he would get serious and allow coastal drilling in Alaska, the Pacific and Atlantic coast and the Eastern Gulf.  Then there is ANWR which is being held off limits as  a sop to the anti energy left.

Obama's stubbornness in not opening these areas to drilling is giving the Republicans an opening I am sure they will take.
