Daily Mail:

Two mid-level Al Qaeda leaders have been killed in what appears to be a U.S. drone strike in Yemen, just four days after the death of Osama Bin Laden.

The Yemeni defence ministry identified the men as two brothers, Musa'id and Abdullah Mubarak, and said they were killed at around dawn in the remote province of Shabwa, where a Yemen-based wing of Al Qaeda is active.

It was not yet clear who carried out the attack and why they were targeted at this time but some nearby residents said they saw a drone in the air at the time of the killing.

...
It is possible the intelligence that led to the attack came from the bin Laden trove, or some other intelligence source. Yemen is a country in turmoil and both sides maybe losing control of their assets.
