Bin Laden's daugher takes refuge in Iran's Saudi embassy
Scotsman:
She was able to call one of her brothers who lives in Saudi Arabia. It is an interesting development that says something about Iran's protection/imprisonment of a terrorist's family.A DAUGHTER of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden has taken refuge in the Saudi embassy in Tehran after eluding guards who have held her and five brothers under house arrest for eight years.
It is believed Iran has had a number of bin Laden's children in custody since they fled Afghanistan after its invasion in 2001 – most notably Saad and Hamza bin Laden, who are thought to have held positions in al-Qaeda.
The Saudi embassy's chargé d'affaires, Fouad al-Qassas, confirmed to the Asharq al-Awsat newspaper that 17-year-old Eman bin Laden had been at the mission for 25 days and that diplomatic efforts were being made with Iran to get her out of the country.
