Terrorist in Iraq easily defeat Democrats

Democrats said yesterday that the United States must start "redeploying" troops from Iraq, calling the recovery of the mutilated bodies of two U.S. soldiers a "grim reminder" of why withdrawal should begin soon.Two casualties and Democrats are ready for retreat. In the whole war we have lost fewer KIA than we did in some battles in past wars and for the Democrats it is too much, because they do not want to win the war at all. They have been dishonest about the reasons for the war and why they want to run away. The Democrat party is determined to make the same mistakes it made when it abandoned Vietnam. The dishonesty of the anti war Democrats is beyond the pale. They ahve dishonestly attacked the President on everything from WMD to Saddams search for yellow cake uranium. From Joe Wilson to John Kerry they have been trying to mislead the country and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. We have not lost one battle in Iraq yet these geniuses think we are losing.
Republican leaders called the proposal for withdrawal a "cut and run" that would embolden terrorists.
The Senate is expected to spend at least five hours today debating two competing Democratic proposals to start pulling U.S. combat troops out of Iraq.
The killings are "a grim reminder of the price we're paying for a failed policy in Iraq," said Sen. Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, the Democratic whip. "It's time for Iraqis to stand up. When will this end?"
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said withdrawing troops would be a "dishonor of historic proportions."
"The Iraqi people want us and need us to help them. If we break our promise and cut and run, as some would have us do, the implications could be catastrophic," the Tennessee Republican said. "Surrendering is not a solution. We cannot go wobbly. The price is too high."
Last night, in a speech at the Hyatt Regency Washington to Republican volunteers, Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman said, "Republicans unite on the need to stay on the offense to confront terrorists; Democrats are having a debate in their party."
He characterized the Democratic debate as some "say we need to cut and run; some people say we need to walk ... and other people say we need to jog."

The defeatists do not care about their own little moral glitches, because they consider those to be peanuts compared to the great sin of asserting Western Civilization. This is why when you corner them on something, like showing that the supposed "lie" wasn't really a lie, they could care less.
ReplyDeleteThese people don't grasp the enormous stakes of this war (and thus 2500 military deaths is deemed to be 2500 *too* expensive), because they do not significantly value their own culture's foundation of individual rights and capitalism.
