Rush's viagra gets a rise out of left wing media

AP/MSNBC:

Rush Limbaugh was detained for more than three hours Monday at Palm Beach International Airport after authorities said they found a bottle of Viagra in his possession without a prescription.

Customs officials found a prescription bottle labeled as Viagra in his luggage that didn’t have Limbaugh’s name on it, but that of two doctors, said Paul Miller, spokesman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

A doctor had prescribed the drug, but it was “labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes,” Roy Black, Limbaugh’s attorney, said in a statement.

...

When it comes to prescriptions apparently Limbaugh is not entitled to privacy. And, what was the probable cause for searching his bags anyway? Was it part of the terms of his plea deal that his bags are to be checked when ever he returns to the country? This eems abussive and the disclosure appears to be for its prejudicial effect and not for any public purpose.

Power Line adds:

...

A DFL-endorsed Congressional candidate has repeatedly and publicly applauded cop-killers: Not a story!
Rush Limbaugh takes Viagra: Story!

Keep that in mind next time the liberal media self-righteously tell you that they have to blow the cover on the administration's anti-terror efforts because they're so concerned about the privacy rights of Americans.

...

It is something to keep in mind when liberals talk about their rationale for undercutting national security.

Update: Talk show host Neal Boortz has some thoughts on the reasons for the search.

  1. Interesting how liberals like to prove my point by making unsubstantiated allegations and insinuations. The viagra find definitely gets a rise out of these guys.
