The headless reporting of the NY Times
Powerline notes that the "30 headless bodies found near Baghdad" have still not been found and probably never existed. I would add that I am still waiting to see the followup on the "80 year-old iman" who was supposed killed in the "mosque massacre" raid that actually broke up a kidnapping ring. The NY Times has not even written a never mind onthis one. Mudville Gazette also notes the discrepancy. It seems to be consistent with the incometance in reporting come from the mainstream media on the war. It is similar to the "too good to check" reporting that has embarassed the Times on Katrina and Abu Ghraid lately.
