Dems acting like jerks about Tesla

 The Federalist Wire:

President Donald Trump ignited a wave of reactions across social media this week when he climbed into the driver’s seat—literally and figuratively—to back Elon Musk and Tesla. The move came as Tesla’s stock bounced back Tuesday after a rocky start to the week, driven by protests flaring up at showrooms nationwide.

The stock rebound offered a glimmer of relief for Tesla, but Democrats wasted no time slamming Trump’s latest spectacle. They accused him of transforming the White House into a promotional stage for Musk’s electric car empire. “I’m sure all the people losing their retirement, jobs, and health care because of Trump are glad to see the White House turned into a car dealership for the richest man on the planet,” DNC Chair Ken Martin fired off in an X post dripping with sarcasm.

The controversy erupted when Fox News reporter Peter Doocy pressed Trump on what he’d say to Americans grappling with financial insecurity and shrinking retirement funds—especially as the president flaunted his new Tesla purchase. Trump leaned on his economic playbook, pointing to foreign tariffs as the fix.

“Well, I think they’re going to do great. I think our country had to do this. We had to go and do this. They’ve taken away—other countries have taken away our business. They have taken away our jobs,” Trump told Doocy. “This economy, in my opinion, is going to blow it away.”

He doubled down, adding, “I have to do this. I have to get the workers back. I have to get the factories open. We have 90,000 factories and plants closed… We’re taking it back. We’re taking our jobs back.”

Democrats weren’t buying it. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) pounced on the photo op, writing, “Grocery prices are soaring. Housing costs are skyrocketing. Retirement savings are plummeting. But Donald Trump thought today would be a good day to play car salesman.” The Democratic National Committee piled on, claiming, “Elon Musk just used taxpayer money to host a car sale at the White House after cutting funding for schools and preparing to fire 80,000 VA workers.”

Actually, prices have not accelerated under Trump as they did when Biden and the Democrats were in charge. The Democrats went on a reckless spending spree under Biden, which caused inflation to soar. Current inflation is lower than it was on average while Democrats were in power. Democrats are reacting more to Musk's support of Trump than they are to the reality of Tesla as a vehicle.

Domestic Terrorists Add Swatting Conservatives on X — And Murder?— to Their Terror Tactics

At least five well-known conservatives with large followings on Elon Musk's X social media platform were "swatted" overnight. These attempts by unknowns to get conservatives killed in a hail of law enforcement gunfire appear to be part of an organized effort to affect politics by acts of violence. That is the textbook definition of terrorism, and it appears to be organized.
