A way to circumvent Twitter's poison pill response to Musk's tender offer

The New York Post reported on Friday that Musk was speaking with other investors who may align with his vision for the company in an effort to get more financial backing so that he can take over the company.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban suggested this week that Musk should team up with right-wing billionaire Peter Thiel to buy the company.

“Want to see the whole world lose their s***?” Cuban tweeted. “Get Peter Thiel to partner with Elon and raise the bid for Twitter.”

Cuban is on to something.  The Poison Pill kicks in when someone owns more than about 15% of the company's stock.  If Musk found three others to join him in the effort the pill would be defeated.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014.
