Resistance to the social justice warriors

 A lawyer friend writes about the resistance of some large corporations to the woke in this country and adds:

“ Let’s also hope this trend continues to BigLaw, who are among the most dishonest virtue signalers around.  They represent 9-11 plotters pro bono while simultaneously trying to cancel lawyers who represent Republicans.  They hyperventilate about Jan. 6  while simultaneously ignoring the BLM riots.  They claim to support free speech while simultaneously try to speech restrictions.  (I guess this is the 21st century version of “we had to burn the village to save it”).  Hypocrisy is a really bad look for anyone but it’s especially unattractive for lawyers.”

I agree with this sentiment.

As a former practicing attorney who represented corporations taking extreme political stands was seems as bad busienss practices which had the potential. To harm shareholders.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ... Bin Laden's concern about Zarqawi's remains
