Biden offers to lift sanctions on Iran oil industry as it restricts US production
President Joe Biden’s administration has offered major sanctions relief to the Iranian regime as part of the ongoing negations at the European Union-mediated summit in Vienna, news reports suggest.
The Biden White House could lift oil, economic, and banking sanctions on Iran in return to restore the 2015 nuclear deal. The proposed concessions are in line with the demands made by Tehran to lift all economic sanctions before it complies with the Obama-era agreement.
“The Biden administration has signaled it is open to easing sanctions against critical elements of Iran’s economy, including oil and finance, helping narrow differences in nuclear talks, according to people familiar with the matter,” The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.
According to recent comments made by senior Israeli officials, the Biden administration could be just weeks away from cutting an Obama-esque deal with the Shia-Islamic regime. “We will not be surprised if within weeks the US and other world powers sign a deal with Iran,” an Israeli official told media over the weekend.
The Iranian regime and the EU are reportedly thrilled at the “progress” made in Vienna. The French broadcaster France24, on Wednesday, reported:
EU diplomat Enrique Mora hailed “progress made over the last two weeks” but said “ongoing challenges” remained to put the accord — which curbs Iran’s nuclear programme in exchange for sanctions relief — back on track.
But for Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, the “negotiations have achieved 60-70 percent progress.”
“If the Americans act honestly, we will reach a conclusion in little time,” Rouhani said, as quoted by state news agency IRNA.
The concession offered in Vienna will be in addition to the sanctions relief already conceded by President Biden. His White House has revoked the enforcement of U.N. sanctions and arms embargo on Iran, reversing a decision made by former President Donald Trump.

Biden seems desperate to make a bad deal with Iran while he at the same time is restricting new US production. His anti-American energy policies are in contrast to his lifting of sanctions on a regime whose motto is "Death to America." A rational look at this conduct would deem it as nuts.
