Officials have to scramble to cover misreporting of Trump's comments about UV light and disinfectant
Washington Post:
What Trump really said is that medical professionals should look at ways to attack the virus with things that have been shown to shorten its half-life. That is a huge difference from what some reporters said he meant. In fact, some medical professionals are already looking at this type of treatment and it is showing progress.
As someone who has been around CEO's of various makeups, it is not that unusual for them to toss out ideas and get feedback from the professionals they deal with. I think that is what Trump was doing.
What has become clear is that Trump's political enemies in the media are not going to deal with him fairly no matter what he says. It is hot surprising that the Post would play this story the way they did. They have been publishing false and misleading stories about the President since he was elected, starting with the Russian collusion hoax and then moving on the Ukraine impeachment show. To my knowledge, the Post has never apologized for its part in the Russian collusion hoax. At best they allowed themselves to be used by dishonest coup plotters in the deep state.
The Trump-hating media tried to claim he suggested that people ingest disinfectants. It is part of their continuing effort to disparage the President and is a real danger to the public because people might think they are serious. Iran has had many fatalities because of the belief that ingesting alcohol will kill the virus, and dishonest reporters were suggesting that Trump thought that was a good idea.U.S. officials scramble to warn against bogus cure floated by Trump
Urgent bulletins were issued to tell the public of the potentially lethal dangers of injecting disinfectants. The FDA also issued a separate warning about an anti-malarial drug President Trump had championed.
