How Trump overcame came hostile and unfair criticism by the media
NY Times:
The media attacks on President Trump will go down in history as one of the worse episodes in the history of journalism. It was a continuation of the unfair coverage that began before his election and several fraudulent attempts to push a deep state coup attempt. The media decided early on that they did not have to treat Trump fairly and despite being shown to be wrong in their embrace of the coup attempts, they have not really ever changed their attitude.
What this story really exposes is that the media would prefer that Trump be a stoic punching bag so they can defeat him and his supporters.
I think they learned very little in terms of the media's own failure. The Trump press briefings exposed the media bias in a way few could imagine and the media never really understood how their gotcha questionings exposed them. The attempt to shift blame for the virus to the President exposed the media's shameless partisanship, while they ignored their own downplaying of the virus initially. That is why they reacted as they did to Trump's playing of a video exposing them and the Democrats that the media acted like was a campaign video.260,000 Words, Full of Self-Praise, From Trump on the Virus
Three journalists from The New York Times reviewed more than 260,000 words spoken by President Trump during the pandemic. Here’s what we learned.
