There is still no 'path to citizenship' or even property ownership in Mexico

NY Times:
For Migrants, New Land of Opportunity Is Mexico
CULTURE Performing Korean pop music in Mexico City. At least 12,000 Koreans are said to live in Mexico.

The “stars are aligning” for Mexico as broad changes in the global economy create new dynamics of migration.
Mexico has become a corridor for migration from Central America and other countries into the US.  When caught the migrants are usually given 30 days to leave the country.  So they continue on their journey to the US.  There are a few migrants from the US into Mexico, but they have no chance of becoming Mexican citizens.  They can invest in long term leases of property, but they can't own it and they will never have a chance to participate in the political process.  There maybe some opportunities for Mexican migrants within the US to return and start over, but it is still a very dangerous place for those near the drug corridors the cartels continue fighting to control.
