Why immigration reform not that important to many Texas Hispanics

Corpus Christi’s Hispanic Majority Mostly Born in U.S.
In fact many of the families heritage in the area predates the existence of Texas.  While Corpus has a Hispanic majority, only 8 percent of them are immigrants.  It is a historical fact that Democrats appear to ignore when making a demographic argument about a growing Hispanic population.  The Congressman from the area is a Republican.
